Perfect Eyebrows

It has been said that eyebrows are the single most important feature of the face and this certainly has merit as your brows introduce you before you even speak.

You all know what I’m talking about, when you can’t get the time to get your eyebrows shaped you yourself can’t even stand looking at it and you don’t even feel like wearing your make-up.  We look at pictures of celebrities sometimes and think how do their eyebrows look sooooo good?  Is it tattooed, is it micro-blading? I’ve good news, for you no matter what they are doing your eyebrows can look just as good following these very simple tips.

  1. Get your eyebrows shaped by a professional. It doesn’t even matter if you wax, tweeze or thread this is super important in keeping a great shape.
  2. Follow the golden ratio in filling in your brows. The diagram below may seem complicated but it’s really very simple. Your brows should begin at Point A directly above your nostrils, arch at Point C which runs in a straight line through the center of your iris and the tip of your nose and finally the tail end should be in line with the outer corner of your eye and nose.
  3. Use the right tools – To fill in your brows you need an angle brush and a spoolie. There are some companies that offer this in one tool as seen below that is perfect for doing your brows. First, use the spoolie to brush the hair upwards in the direction of hair growth. Then, use the angle brush with brow powder or brow gel to fill in. Use the spoolie to brush over the hairs again for a natural finish.
  4. Shade from light to dark – If you don’t want to end up with eyebrows that look harsh and stamped on make sure the inner corner of your brow is the lightest and the end the darkest. Shading too heavily anywhere, especially the middle can make you look angry or older.

Concentrate the color in the center and fill in your arches moving out, then come back and gently shade the inside third.

See below helpful video tutorial on how to achieve those perfect eyebrows.

So get your brow game on and remember, some are born with great eyebrows, some achieve great eyebrows and some have great eyebrows drawn upon them!

Let me know in the comments below what was your favorite tip!

Yes, the shape of your brows are important as well because they help frame your face.

I discovered I've got thin skin when two separate persons waxed my skin away along with my eyebrows. It was only a small spot and on the same place in both eyebrows but still noticeable. It's been years and hair has never grown back in the spots and they are a shade lighter than the surrounding skin tone. So, learning to fill in eyebrows is a must for me as a cheaper alternative to microblading so thanks for sharing these tips.
