So we all absolutely love makeup
don’t we, that perfect finish, every flaw erased, that radiant glow, the confidence it brings and of course the anticipation of seeing the reaction of
others with their jaws dropping to the floor or not saying a word but their
eyes are saying it all. Yes, makeup is
all of that, an amazing gift to mankind but knowing that you love it doesn’t say
how you’d like your look. Here are some
tips on different looks and when its best to wear them!
The Natural Look
This is what some may refer to as their everyday
make-up. It’s the perfect look for being
out and about for the office, going out to lunch, or if you’re going out to a
casual first date to the movies. You can
get this by a good foundation, perfect brows, little eyeliner, a bit of contour, and nude or natural lips.
Glam Make-Up
This is what we mean when we say
we’re getting dressed up and going out!
This look is suited for Formal Events, Dinners, A Fancy Nightclub and if
you’re going to the Prom! For this look
go heavier on the foundation, add contour, highlighter, glitter eyeshadow, some
bright and exciting lip color and of course this look could not be complete
without you Lashes!!

Yes, I even glam up for date nights at home. I look at YouTube videos and practice.
I tend to go for the more natural look for everyday errands. However, I appreciate the details of how to glam up for occasions. I often struggle with transitioning from natural to a little "extra" so really enjoy the tips.
Do you recommend wearing makeup when you work from home ? I've seen many say it makes them feel dressed up and ready to work!
Hi Jaimey, I would certainly recommend wearing make-up while working from home especially if you are interacting with clients or business associates in any way and I do agree that even if you aren't it makes you feel ready to work. Also if you're in the beauty industry it's so important to represent yourself and your business as a cosmetologist who practices what they preach if you know what I mean:)
Agreed!!! I love natural look for work an casual stuff but bring me that glitter when it’s time to get all fancy...I love make up and the confidence make up gives me😊
I hardly ever wear makeup but when I do I prefer a natural look. I might be into glam if I get it professionally done. I'm always worried about makeup transfer though so what do you recommend to help prevent makeup transfer?
I have make-up and I don't really use it much, I love the natural look for every day and the glam look for a wedding or big event.
Question: Eyeliner is the one thing I use almost every day for work but sometimes it smudges and I end up with "Raccoon" eyes- any suggestions on an eyeliner that does not smudge?
